La Comunità Energetica di Ventotene: incontro del 22 maggio 2021.
Docenti, professionisti e 30 studenti “Grand Challenges” di Ingegneria ed Economia della Sapienza vincono il Bando Vitamina G e incontrano Ventotene per avviare la Comunità Energetica
Il 22 Maggio 2021, si è svolto un incontro-conferenza sulle Comunità Energetiche sull'Isola di Ventotene con grande soddisfazione di Sindaco, Cittadini intervenuti e organizzatori (ingegneri, docenti e 30 studenti del Grand Challenges della Sapienza).
Hanno partecipato, rispettando le norme anti COVID, 75 persone, 25 da remoto, rendendo la serata ricca di richieste, risposte concrete, contenuti scientifici di innovazione tecnica, economica e sociale tali da far dichiarare a molti presenti la determinata intenzione a costituire la prima Comunità Energetica insulare.
Sono state espresse congratulazioni ai neo-laureati, e brillanti studenti di Ingegneria ed Economia del “Grand Challenges Field Study Alumni”, premiati con 25.000€ il 18 Maggio dalla Regione Lazio, per un progetto dedicato alle Comunità Energetiche del bando Vitamina G, che il 22 Maggio hanno saputo accogliere professori, prestigiosi manager, ed altri giovani per tre giorni di lavoro, indagine conoscitiva energetica, sociale ed ambientale.
Un ringraziamento particolare va al Sindaco Gerardo Santomauro, il Consigliere Aurelio Matrone e le autorità locali con la volontà di costituire quanto prima la Comunità Energetica sull’Isola.
L’evento è stato preceduto mercoledì 18 anche dal loro incontro con il Sindaco di Magliano Alpi, ove per la prima volta la Comunità Energetica è stata regolarmente avviata, con il supporto dell’Energy Center del Politecnico di Torino e del World Energy Council-Italia, che condivideranno le migliori pratiche anche con Ventotene.
Le Comunità Energetiche Rinnovabili (CER), in Italia, sono oggi la via della diffusione e condivisione dell’Energia Rinnovabile sul territorio, con innovazioni ingegneristiche, economiche e sociali, finalmente incentivate e facilitate dalla legge 8/2000, e dal PNRR.
Il neo Ingegnere Gabriele Umberto Magni, presidente della costituenda “Grand Challenges Field Study Alumni”, ha organizzato tutte le relazioni con Ventotene, ha ricevuto il 22 Maggio anche la lettera di riconoscimento Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP), dalla National Academy di Washington, insieme ai colleghi e associati, Matteo Gagliano, Alessia Moresi, Massimo Picalarga, Diana Bulf.
Andrea Micangeli, prof di Sistemi Energetici alla Sapienza Università di Roma, responsabile del GCSP per Sapienza, dopo aver consegnato il premio GCSP, ha moderato la serata, affiancato dell’ing. Ugo de Carolis, ed insieme al Dott. Luca Tricarico della Luiss Business School, la giovane ing. Elisa Fenicchia, consigliera di Tecnologie Solidali Onlus, il Dr. Lorenzo De Vidovich, esperto della rilevanza sociale delle CER, della Università di Trieste, Dr. ing. C.Tacconelli di Engreen.
L’avvio è stato dato dall’ing. Ugo de Carolis con una testimonianza significativa, avendo per primo ipotizzato la comunità energetica tra Aeroporti di Roma e Territori circostanti, quando era in veste di Amministratore Delegato di ADR, dopo aver conseguito brillanti risultati di sostenibilità, in un ambito “inquinante e rumoroso per definizione”. Come sappiamo Ugo De Carolis, brillante manager laureato in Ingegneria Meccanica, alla Sapienza, dopo aver ricoperto posizioni di prestigio come Amministratore Delegato di New Holland (gruppo FIAT), poi di Telepass e di Aeroporti di Roma ha ottenuto per l’Aeroporto a Fiumicino, e Ciampino, premi internazionali ed una evoluzione evidente a chiunque ci sia passato negli ultimi anni… Insomma un “Ronaldo” della Gestione Manageriale, che ha dedicato due giornate intere alla Comunità Energetica, di Ventotene con i giovanissimi colleghi della Sapienza.
A seguire, gli interventi di relatori esperti che hanno illustrato con competenza, chiarezza e semplicità cosa sono le CER, chi sono i beneficiari, e come si avviano. Tra tutti spiccano gli interventi di Dario Tamburrano, ex Euro Parlamentare, dedito alle CER, Francesca Rizzi della Lega Navale di Ventotene, Nicola Bosco ingegnere di Ventotene e sostenitore da sempre di progetti innovativi e sostenibili, “Cristoforo“il pescatore per antonomasia, Martina che si occupa di ricezione turistica, Alessio Castagna video-reporter di eccellenza, Gloria Consoli, Coordinatrice della Cooperativa Territoriale Petra della rete Piccoli Comuni Welcome.
Dal Comune di Antrodoco, gli ingegneri e GC Alumni, Andrea De Silvestri e Valeria Longhi, nonché la Vice Sindaca Prof.ssa Ernestina Cianca, di Ingegneria Tor Vergata, e tanti altri interventi di supporto e commento, dedicati a Ventotene ed altre realtà del Lazio interessate…
Una serata di avvio, che arriva dopo un anno di lavori, con i Municipi, con i residenti, le strutture pubbliche, e private, ricettive dell’Isola, e studi approfonditi con docenti e studenti Sapienza, accompagnati dall’ing. De Carolis, e affermati professionisti. A dimostrare la forte volontà di ciascuno di rendere ancor più importante, accogliente, e preziosa, tanto Ventotene quanto il nostro intero Paese.

Teachers, professionals and 30 "Grand Challenges" students of Engineering and Economics of Sapienza University win the Vitamin G Call for Proposals and meet Ventotene to start the Energy Community
On May 22nd, 2021, a meeting-conference on Energy Communities was held on the Island of Ventotene with great satisfaction of the Mayor, Citizens attending and organizers (engineers, teachers and 30 students of the Grand Challenges of Sapienza).
They participated, respecting the anti COVID rules, 75 people, 25 remotely, making the evening full of requests, concrete answers, scientific content of technical, economic and social innovation such as to make many present declare the determined intention to establish the first Energy Community on the island.
Congratulations were expressed to the new graduates, and brilliant students of Engineering and Economics of the "Grand Challenges Field Study Alumni", awarded € 25,000 on May 18 by the Lazio Region, for a project dedicated to the Energy Communities of the call Vitamin G, which on May 22 have been able to welcome professors, prestigious managers, and other young people for three days of work, cognitive energy, social and environmental investigation.
A special thanks goes to the Mayor Gerardo Santomauro, the Councillor Aurelio Matrone and local authorities with the desire to establish as soon as possible the Energy Community on the island.
The event was also preceded on Wednesday 18 by their meeting with the Mayor of Magliano Alpi, where for the first time the Energy Community was regularly started, with the support of the Energy Center of the Polytechnic of Turin and the World Energy Council-Italy, which will share best practices with Ventotene as well.
The Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), in Italy, are today the way of diffusion and sharing of Renewable Energy on the territory, with engineering, economic and social innovations, finally incentivized and facilitated by the law 8/2000, and by the PNRR.
The newly appointed Engineer Gabriele Umberto Magni, president of the constituted "Grand Challenges Field Study Alumni", organized all relations with Ventotene, also received on May 22 the letter of recognition Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP), from the National Academy of Washington, together with colleagues and associates, Matteo Gagliano, Alessia Moresi, Massimo Picalarga, Diana Bulf.
Andrea Micangeli, Professor of Energy Systems at Sapienza University of Rome, responsible for the GCSP for Sapienza, after having delivered the GCSP award, moderated the evening, flanked by Eng. Ugo de Carolis, and together with Dr. Luca Tricarico of Luiss Business School, the young engineer Elisa Fenicchia, counselor of Tecnologie Solidali Onlus, Dr. Lorenzo De Vidovich, an expert on the social relevance of CERs, from the University of Trieste, Dr. Eng. C.Tacconelli of Engreen.
The start was given by engineer Ugo de Carolis with a significant testimony, having first hypothesized the energy community between Aeroporti di Roma and surrounding areas, when he was CEO of ADR, after achieving brilliant results of sustainability, in an area "polluting and noisy by definition". As we know, Ugo De Carolis, a brilliant manager with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from La Sapienza University, after having held prestigious positions as Managing Director of New Holland (FIAT group), then of Telepass and Aeroporti di Roma, has obtained international awards for the airport at Fiumicino and Ciampino, and an evolution that is evident to anyone who has been there in recent years… In short, a "Ronaldo" of Managerial Management, who has dedicated two full days to the Energy Community of Ventotene with the very young colleagues of Sapienza.
Following, the interventions of expert speakers who have illustrated with competence, clarity and simplicity what CERs are, who the beneficiaries are, and how they are started. Dario Tamburrano, former Euro MP, dedicated to the CERs, Francesca Rizzi of the Naval League of Ventotene, "Cristoforo" the fisherman par excellence, Martina who deals with tourist reception, Alessio Castagna video-reporter of excellence, Gloria Consoli, Coordinator of the Territorial Cooperative Petra. From the City of Antrodoco, the engineers and GC Alumni, Andrea De Silvestri and Valeria Longhi, as well as the Deputy Mayor Prof.ssa Ernestina Cianca, of Engineering Tor Vergata, and many other interventions of support and commentary, dedicated to Ventotene and other realities of Lazio concerned …
An evening of start-up, which comes after a year of work, with the municipalities, with residents, public and private facilities, accommodation on the island, and in-depth studies with teachers and students Sapienza, accompanied by Eng. De Carolis, and established professionals. To demonstrate the strong will of everyone to make even more important, welcoming, and valuable, as much Ventotene as our entire Country.
